Exotics on Exhibit

Every August, Monterey Car Week brings some of the world’s most stunning automobiles to the Monterey Peninsula. As part of the gathering, Cannery Row hosts rare super, hyper and exotic cars during the annual Exotics on Cannery Row event. Guests can mingle with drivers and view one-of-a-kind vehicles modified for power and performance – plus, the Cannery Row festivities are free to the public.

What
Exotics on Cannery Row brings super, hyper and exotic cars to Cannery Row for a four-hour showcase of automotive excellence. Presented with the founders of the popular goldRush Rally, this exclusive gathering promises a unique, up-close look at high-end autos with high-performance modifications: think sleek models from Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani, McLaren and more. Previous headliners have included a rare Mercedes-Benz CLK GT, multiple Bugatti Veyrons, and a pair of exceptional Koenigseggs. The event’s vendor marketplace also gathers top transport companies, parts manufacturers and gear makers in one spot.

When
August 18th from 3-8 PM

Where
Cars stage along Cannery Row. Public parking is available at the Cannery Row Parking Garage (enter on Foam Street, between Hoffman and Prescott Avenues).

Supercars Vs. Hypercars – What’s The Difference?
While the “exotic car” is commonly known as the upper tier of the “sports car” category, “supercars” and “hypercars” push the envelope beyond what’s available at your local Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche dealership. According to Gear Patrol, “Supercars can be defined as cars with the best performance, technology and design that the automotive industry has to offer. The term “hypercar”, [has been] coined to qualify the top 1 percent of supercars. All hypercars are supercars, but not all supercars are hypercars. To get to hypercar status, a car has to meet all the characteristics of a supercar, and push the boundaries of performance, technology and design.”
