Friday, November 25, 2016: Cannery Row Tree Lighting



Join us for the 22nd annual Holiday Tree Lighting on Cannery Row! This free event is a fun tradition for the whole family – featuring Christmas Carolers, Santa’s Reindeer and of course, Santa Claus himself!


5:00 – 8:30 PM: Free Holiday Entertainment
Steinbeck Plaza: Christmas Carolers
Bubba Gump Plaza: Santa’s Reindeer

5:45 PM: Tree Lighting Ceremony
6:00 – 9:00 PM: Visit with Santa!


And remember, locals park for free after 4:00 pm every day at the Cannery Row Garage (601 Foam St. between Hoffman/Prescott).

A Coastal Challenge

On November 13, the annual Big Sur Half Marathon on Monterey Bay returns to the central California coast. The event, a spinoff of the legendary Big Sur Marathon that traces Highway 1 each spring, follows the Monterey Peninsula shoreline between Lake El Estero and Asilomar Beach. Two segments of the 13.1-mile out-and-back course cross Cannery Row. On the way out, participants run the length of Cannery Row itself; on the way back, runners travel the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail that parallels Cannery Row.
